Minimum system requirements for running Topos R2:
• Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2 or Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2. Topos R2 also runs on Windows Vista 32bit.
• Processor: A recent IA32 compatible CPU featuring the SSE2 instruction set: Intel Pentium 4/D/M/XE, Core, Core 2,...; or an AMD Athlon 64/X2/FX, Turion 64/X2, Sempron,...
Topos is multithreaded and takes advantage of multiple cores.
• Memory: 1 GB RAM or more.
• Graphics card: a 3D graphics card supporting accelerated OpenGL 1.2 or higher, with 32 MB RAM or more.
The graphics card must support vertex- and (for some features) fragment programs, that is, be a true DirectX 9 class graphics card.
Examples include Intel GMA X3x00, NVidia GeForce 6, 7, 8 or 9 series, ATI Radeon 9600+, X600+, X1xxx, HD2xxx, HD3xxx or better.
Topos makes extensive use of graphics memory, so more is better.
For best performance please use a recent dedicated graphics card with up to date drivers (GeForce 7, 8 or 9 series or a Radeon X1xxx, HD2xxx or HD3xxx series).
• Hard disk space: about 500 MB required for installation.
Note that DTM and drape data for your projects will take up considerable amounts of hard disk space.
